Sweet Seahorse!

seahorse at Lindquist Beach

This little photograph is causing quite the media sensation here in St. Thomas! Alain Brin of Blue Glass Photography captured this sweet little seahorse at Lindquist Beach while testing out some new camera equipment with his wife Soolan (both of which have shot many of our weddings!). It is very rare to see a seahorse here in the Virgin Islands unless diving off a St. Croix or getting married by Island Bliss! Alain shot our wedding this morning (congrats Amy & Bryan!) and I joked that I’m tempted to go sit underwater at Lindquist until I see one. Alain said it would be possible! Someone told him that once you see one, you know others are nearby. Now if I could only find the time…

Congrats Chantal & Brian!

Chantal & Brian enjoyed their destination wedding May 1st on Lindquist Beach, St. Thomas! The photos below were taken by Brian’s best man.   It was a beautiful sunset wedding! Although Lindquist Beach faces east (therefore away from the sunset), it’s still one of my favorite sunset beaches. The soft lighting is perfect for photos.Continue Reading

Photo shares!

I love when a bride sends me photos from her wedding day, especially when she has brought her own photographer from home. It’s nice to see a wedding through an unfamiliar photographers perspective. Thanks Ally for sharing these photos with me! And thank you Peirce Photography for allowing us to share the images. Ally wasContinue Reading

Congratulation Yuliya & Ander!

Congrats to Yuliya & Ander who were married on 5/3/12 on Lindquist Beach! Alain Brin of Blue Glass Photography sent me these photos – I love the last one, she looks like she’s floating!

Something new…

I’m always looking for new ideas on how to do anything better for a wedding – I love change and evolvment, I don’t want to offer the same thing everyone else does, or even just offer the same thing over and over again. A few months ago, a bride came up with this idea andContinue Reading

Sometimes you need a little elbow grease…

I was going through some of the pictures of this wedding last week at Lindquist Beach and just cracked up when I saw the ring photos. A lot of our brides & grooms tend to overindulge a little on the ships (this couple was from the Freedom of the Seas) and well…all that salt &Continue Reading

Just a little cheat…

Ok, so I’m determined to make my goal of 17 blog posts this month and I realized I really need to do one blog post a day until the end of the month to make that goal. So I’m going to cheat today and just share a photo of a fun wedding we had lastContinue Reading

Homemade

Everyone should know by now about my love of Etsy.com where everything is hand-crafted. So it’s only appropriate that my favorite element of Jennifer & Aaron’s wedding would be her wedding dress. Jennifer’s dress was handmade by one of her best friends. Jennifer sketched out some ideas and her friend put it all together forContinue Reading

There’s one at every wedding…

So there are a few weddings that are in queue to be blogged about, but I had to rush this one to the front of the line. Nate & Angie were married this morning on lovely Lindquist Beach. Their cruiseship, the Norwegian Pearl arrived in St. Thomas today with about 20 of their closest friendsContinue Reading

What a beach wedding is all about…

Seashell necklace, orchid bouquet, sand, sea and just a touch of tan lines! And not to mention a lot of great friends & family. I had to share this photo – do you notice the nine year old boy trying to fly out of the picture??
